David has worked in sales, marketing and PR his entire working life, as a business owner and in employed positions in large corporates, franchises, independent businesses and startups.

In 2012 he was invited by his local chamber of commerce to be part of a team tasked with revitalising a suburban retail precinct.

Shortly afterwards David launched a retail activation project in the precinct, and achieved considerable success in breathing life into the area over a 2-3 year period (see Case Study 1 for more details on this project).

His primary motivation is to help smaller retail precincts compete with the twin threats of major shopping centres and the internet, and enable them to retain their relevance and character in an ever-changing retail environment.
